Platoons Forward - Afghanistan

 

Platoons Forward

 

A wonderful program that I have supported for the past couple of years is from the Lenexa VFW Post #7397 called Platoons Forward - Afghanistan. Their purpose is to send needed items to 2/12th Infantry, Baker and Dagger Companies who are at a remote post in Afghanistan and don't have access to Mess Halls and Post Exchanges. Hope for Homeless

 

In response to the growing number of homeless within Johnson County, The Salvation Army will construct a new homeless shelter, one which will replace the existing Family Lodge. Requiring a total expenditure of $2.2 million, the new shelter will significantly increase current capacity by more than 50%.
